Afternoon tea where Shoreditch meets the City
Our afternoon tea experience pays homage to ‘The Google Book’ by VC Vickers, a children’s illustration book originally published in 1913, which explores a quirky world of exotic, colourful birds from an enchanted land. Pick up one of the copies dotted around and explore the extraordinary Google Bird world, whilst dining on sensational sweet and savoury treats.
For £35 per person, taste a range of sweet delicacies, flavourful sandwiches and homemade warm scones, alongside premium tea provided by the East India Tea Company. This selection includes Royal Breakfast, English Peppermint, The Forbidden City Jasmine Blossom, Lemongrass & Ginger, and more.
For £45, upgrade the experience to enjoy the signature Google Bird-inspired libation ‘The Ha-Ha!’ - a gin based, citrusy cocktail named after one of the magical creatures, served in an ornate birdcage and made with East India Company gin.
Sun Street’s wide range of signature cocktails, mocktails and sparkling wine are also available to order additionally to either package. Situated in two of the hotel’s cosiest lounge spaces, Sun Street invites guests at Afternoon Tea to sink into a comfortable armchair or sofa and take a moment to escape from the city into a fantastical land of sophistication and pleasure.
